Father John Duffy is a very good priest. He has helped many people and does a lot for the church.

On a side note, I love this reading from the gospel. It truly depicts Jesus' undying love for us and a wonderful conversion story! How did Jesus treat the tax collector? - LOVE .... What became of the tax collector? - St.Matthew one of our beloved Apostles of Christ!
There was no LOVE shown to our beloved priest, Father John Duffy by the Archdiocese :(

I heard about Fr. Duffy's plight last week. I remember being at mass and prayed for wisdom. The gospel was read and it was from Matthew 18:
15 “If your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[e] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[f] loosed in heaven.
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
I went on to pray that the process that Jesus instituted may happen in His church.

Our faith is based on truth. "...and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." (John 18:37) I pray for the TRUTH to happen in the church that Jesus founded.

The news concerning Father J. Duffy has saddened me tremendously. He served years ago at St. Patrick's, where he was respected and loved. Fr. Duffy is an excellent priest, compassionate and always ready to help. Shame on these evil parishioners, who have spread lies and more so shame on the Archdiocese for listening to them and for not assisting one of their own. May God forgive them for the hurt they caused Fr. Duffy. Their day will come when they will be judged by a Higher Court. The truth will always prevail!!!!!!!!

Dear Friends of Rev. Father John Duffy, I am really glad to see so many signatures and passionate words mentioned about Rev. Fr. John Duffy.
This is a David and Goliath fight. Archdiocese is a Goliath. If any of you see and analyze their annual financials they have a Reserve Float of 300 to 350 million dollars and now with the 130 million Family of Faith Collection they have close to half a billion dollar kitty.
Hence, we have to use the Guerrilla Warfare tactics. From my experience and expertise of Brand Warfare, I suggest a few of them here:
a. each one of us who have signed this petition convince 3 to 5 friends to visit the site and advise them to tell their 3 to 5 friends. Soon we will have more than 2000 signatures.
b. All of us with-draw our contribution from Family of faith.
c. Weekly church collection, drop a blank envelope with a note saying this is what you are going to do till Father John Duffy is restored. back as priest.
d. Let us each do a sacrifice whether it giving up scotch/drinks for a month, coffee for a month or any other luxuries and donate that amount to Friends of John Duffy.
e. Let us do a silent march to Archdiocese on a Sunday morning and stand outside St. Micheal's with a placard "We want Fr. John Duffy"
f. Let us submit an memorandum to Archbishop.
g. Let us drive down to Ottawa and submit the memorandum to Papal Nuncio - Archbishop - Luigi Bonazzi.
h. Send a copy of the memorandum to His Highness Pope Francis .
i. Hire a good lawyer with expertise in Canon Law.
j. Combine all this with the last resort - PRESS. - they are waiting like hawks to fill their pages.

Mr. Bruneau, I also asked the same question “Who’s running the show?”. But regardless, it’s obvious that it’s TIME to REVAMP the UPPER ECHELONS of the Archdiocese of Toronto as we don’t need a puppet. What the ARCHDIOCESE NEEDS is a LEADER. If the head of the Archdiocese is not the one running the show, how can he know what’s happening in the individual parishes?
Does he know the hard-sell approach done at our parish during the Family of Faith campaign? During the homily, Pledge Cards and pencils were distributed for the parishioners present to COMPLETE the CARD on the SPOT. At the St. Justin Martyr Parish, I heard from one of their parishioners that their parish goal was increased after reaching their original goal in just a short campaign period.
That, I must say, is very UNCHARACTERISTIC of the CATHOLIC CHURCH. When it comes to tithing, the CATHOLIC CHURCH I’ve KNOWN lets the people give VOLUNTARILY - depending on what people CAN AFFORD and what they are WILLING to GIVE. That's one of the things that differentiates us from the other denominations.
I repeat, it's TIME to REVAMP the UPPER ECHELONS of the ARCHDIOCESE of TORONTO before the faithful in the Archdiocese are demoralized. Pick individuals who will treat everyone as in Leviticus 19:15 “‘DO NOT PERVERT JUSTICE; do not show partiality to the poor or FAVORITISM to the GREAT, but judge your neighbor fairly."
And I second the motions of Alban Mendoca and Nameless Anonymous of Toronto!

It is an excellent idea and all must do it. In your church, weekly offering env put a note saying we are supporting Fr. John Duffy and the money is going there. However, the Building Fund please donate generously as we require the church building to stand there.
While we are at this, it would be nice if each one of us convince another 3 to 5 family members or friends to go on the site and sign the petition. Also, advise them that they must tell their 3 to 5 friends. In doing so the 414 will become 1200 to 1500 or even 2000 in the next 5 days time. This is the strength of network marketing.
