The Vale receives a 'pittance' in funding. We desperately need additional and comparable funding to meet the needs of our community

The reduced level of funding for people of the Vale is unfair and disproportionate. We are as entitled to the same funding as the other areas in South East Wales.

I am appalled to find out that the Vale has one of the lowest funded areas. How can this be justified. We want answers.

Is it really surprising, the Labour dominated Assembly view the Vale as a Conservative area. I would like a referendum on abolishing the Assembly thus getting rid of another layer of highly paid officials, then we might get a fairer distribution as well as that bit more money.

I don't understand how this can be, why is there such a vast difference in funding per head in the Vale. I would like to know the Welsh Governments explanation for this!!!

Please treat the people of the Vale of Glamorgan fairly. We deserve the same funding and services as Cardiff, Bridgend and other areas.

Please can someone explain how the Vale receives less funding than most other areas within that area? It seems most unfair and smacks of a postcode lottery when it comes to funding on road repairs and education etc.

I find it difficult to understand why there is a disparity depending on where you live.

Without fair funding the Vale cannot move forwards but could stagnate or slide backwards

I don't know who is responsible for setting these different levels, particularly between Cardiff and The Vale, but they don't seem to be behaving very logically. I dare you to publish the underlying calculations.

There is no good reason for the Vale to be shortchanged by such a huge amount in the allocation of funding. Perhaps the WG is under a misapprehension that the Vale is wealthy - that is not the case for all parts of the Vale, and Vale residents are sick of being the poor relations as far as WG funding is concerned.

It is an unfair distribution of our entitlement, a disgrace. Are we lesser people?.

This has been going on for too long, both with a Conservative and Labour Councils.

This inequity should be addressed without delay
