The vale needs regenerating in many so aspects we need to play off a level playing field.

Could not agree more. There does seem to be a large degree of discrimination towards the Vale of Glamorgan. However I would rather see funding used on road maintenance!

Arguably, Cardiff enjoys better facilities than the Vale, especially in terms of transport and communication with bus services in parts of the Vale non-existent and broadband being slow or static. As for the state of the roads.....

I fully support the views of Alun Cairns, also would add that I do not feel the RCT should have additional funding for no apparent reason. Having been involved with may of thier capital spend projects i can advise the waste of funding is huge.

I am opposed to the ever widening differentials between Welsh Government funding for those living in urban areas (such as Cardiff) and those living in rural communities exemplified in the Vale of Glamorgan. However, I agree that some areas in Wales (eg RCT and Cynon Valley) deserve greater support than the Vale.

it is not just the fair allocation of funds but most importantly it is where it is spent or wasted! There is too much politics into how 'our' money is used.

Why should the Vale Council (Labour controlled) be so unfairly treated and not be prepared to stand up to the Finance Minister, The Vale AM,who seems unwilling/unable to support her own constituents

The Assembly is playing politics with the electorate. It gives considerably more to areas with a high Labour vote. This must stop. Well done Alun Cairns for highlighting this.

As a teacher in the Vale I am fully aware of the detrimental affect the poor funding has on the pupils and therefore the future of the Vale of Glamorgan.
Make it fair - more money is needed.k
