I cannot see the logic in such a wide variance between Councils. Fair play is all I want

We never see a police officer on foot or in car, the lanes around here are in bad repair, they have cancelled our bus service. I see little benefit from my council tax. I have signed this petition but do not expect any improvement, any increase the Vale may receive will be squandered on Barry and the other major conurbations in the vale, while the villages will be left to rot.

I am concerned for the impact thie shortfall will have on families in the vale as a whole but particularly in those areas of increased deprivation. Trouble is when you say you live in the vale people outside of the area think of Cowbridge and consider it an affluent area- which it is not! My local primary school has a ratio of 50% free school meals and the town now has 2 food banks. How are these families going to cope! Aside from this point I also don't feel that the council provides value for money in their service provision. Has this decrease in funding got anything to do with lack of accountability to the Welsh Assembly with regard to previous years spending I wonder?

Where equality is so high up in the WAG agenda....why do they then discriminate according to post code.? The Vale of Glamorgan deserves better.

It is disgraceful that there is any in difference whatsoever in the rates paid per head of population. We are being short changed from our council tax etc.!

I would like there to be justice and for the funding to be the same for the Vale as it is for Cardiff and Bridgend

The difference is frankly a disgrace and has been a long term trend that has to stop if the vale is going to reach its potential. The lack of investment in the vale is clear in comparison to other regions.

I would like the same funding as Cardiff and Bridgend get from the Welsh Government as this would be fair

Perhaps if we had better funding, driving on our roads would be less like 'off roading' in a plowed field!

On the face of it the difference in funding between Cardiff and the Vale does not make sense. It either needs to be corrected or clearly explained and justified.

Why pussy-foot around here - the reason we in the Vale are so poorly served by the Welsh Assembley is that we historically and currently chose to support the Conservatives. With a marxist labour administrtaion running Wales' governement we see the same system of persecution and victinisation of any "non-socialist" location as the Ukrainians have experianced in recent years. Socialism stands for theft of value from anyone who has saved and provices for themselves, and the redistribution of those funds to labour's key areas. Hence the imbalance demonstrtaed by this petition. Remember the excesses of Gordan Brown, Ed Balls and Ed Milliband over the 13 years of the lsat Labour administration - we have an identical position within Wales. Inadaquete health provision; excruciatingly poor teaching/education; the highest benefit claimant count per capita in the UK. Change the Welsh administration and we MIGHT see a benefit in fairer distributions of cash.......................

Totally disgusted with the difference in funding available between the surrounding councils in comparison to the Vale. I work 2 jobs and struggle to make ends meet. With recommendations for a 4% increase I suggest the Vale gets a pay rise for me of 4% from my employers to allow for such a ridiculous change!
