The Vale deserves a fairer slice of the cake. There are an increasing number of elderly living in the Vale with isolation and poor transport links being a huge problem. The cost of providing care to a scattered population is considerably higher.

The distribution of funds is completely unfair, it demonstrates discrimination against the Vale by the Welsh Government and should be rectified. The regeneration required in the Vale could be achieved and result in a more prosperous society which would benefit Wales as a whole.

What a surprise that the Vale council don't want to be involved.

The Vale should receive Fair Funding in line with other Local Authorities.

It is totally unfair that the funding for the vale is so little compared with other areas of Wales.

Thank you Alun for campaigning on this issue. I wonder what the point of AMs is when the silence from them is deafening!

Perhaps we would get a better deal if we were funded directly from Westminster - and all that implies!

I agree money should be shared between areas, why should people in one area benefit more from money that is given for all people living in Wales. I work, I understand why we have a tax system but I don't understand why we are charged so much on council tax and get very little. How much of OUR money is being wasted? Rather than increase council tax or cut services that are needed for our community, the council should be looking at pointless projects that just tick boxes and provide us with services and provisions we really need.

I cannot see how it is a fair system for The Vale of Glamorgan to receive less funding compared to other areas.

There is going to be a day when the average person will have to go to prison as council tax is at its limit for most with less and less services for it. It Costs the average person more per year now than it cost to build a house 40 yrs ago?MAD.

I hear that the UK Government has given the Assembly a sum of money to share amongst the councils to keep Council Tax down, as in England but CJ's bandits have decided to keep it for themselves. What is being done to ensure that this money is used for its intended purpose?

This is nothing less than disgraceful; it's been going on too long and it's time something was done to rebalance the situation. General apathy is to blame I fear,

I wholeheartedly endorse this petition. The 4.5% is totally unfair and the Assembly allocation to the Vale, which being so spread out geographically, finds it hard to send a united protest.
