Fair funding for the Vale

My old age pension increase is not going to cover this rise let alone all the other inceases

The vale is in great need of extra funding then perhaps our roads with their dangerous potholes which are probably the worst in Europe, can be treated rather than the worst ones occasionally be filled in. I expect fair and equal treatment wherever I live in Wales.

THIS DISPARITY IN FUNDING IS A DISGRACE

This gross unfairness has existed since the last local government reorganistion. As an ex-school governor I know that per capita funding for secondary students in the Vale is not only the lowest in Wales but also the lowest in the United Kingdom

I would like to see fair funding for the Vale of Glamorgan council

This is appaling. As a council to be getting between £202 and £400 less than others its no wonder there is no money available to better our living experiences in this council

I support this petition, why should we in the Vale be treated so differently to our near neighbours in Cardiff and Bridgend

It is always the same Barry and the Vale are hit the first especially if you live in the East end of town we are the forgotten people. It is always the same saying stick it down east end they won't mind but we do.

Although there are some affluent areas in the Vale there are also some extremely poor ones which are Communities First areas. It's vital that the Council have sufficient funds to help with the partnership with CF to enable further improvements to those areas, otherwise other WG monies are not being used wisely. Also to be so much less than Cardiff and Bridgend is incomprehensible. Please look at this as a matter of urgency, thank you Helen Cocks

I work in education and have had a 1 per cent pay increase in the last 5 years. I earn £30 more than someone that is unemployed and my quality of life is being eaten up by this council . Surely it is time that Band A and B properties pay less council tax because it's not rocket science to work out that the majority of people who live in these bands pay rent and will never see their fortunes increasing with the rise in house prices. I understand that services may need to be cut but for people like me food ,shelter and warmth are the main priority. There are two types of people living in Britain today: Those who are financialy secure and have ideals and those who have nothing but their ideals because of financial insecurity!

yet another fine example of so called democracy at work in Wales. As long as Labour have an unchallenged majority they will never be called to account for their total missmanagement of Welsh finances and services.

Please let us have parity with Cardiff & Bridgend.

Obviously funding originates in Westminster, therefore funding for the Vale lies squarely on the shoulders of the Tory party. Wales will always get the dirty end of the stick, no matter which party governs in Westminster, as England, of course, has traditionally received priority over the rest of the U.K. I cannot understand why we are being governed, (and most accept it ) by what is after all a foreign country. The U.K. should stay in the E.U. and each country should receive funding directly from Brussels in it's own right, rather than from Westminster. Historically, Wales has been robbed and plundered by England, and we are after all, just another colonial outpost.
