A failure of democracy and fundamental freedoms on the Australian left: Open letter

the erosion and denial of womyn's sex-based rights has been one of the greatest challenges for womyn born female over these past thirty years, from the erasure of lesbians born female gatherings in the public domain to womyn athletes having to compete against male born transgender people, it has made life all the more difficult for womyn who are already discriminated against in every area of our lives without governments and political parties being captured and gaslighted by the transgender ideology to discriminate against womyn born female even further

Greens should be ashamed.

Sex differences are an integral part of our evolutionary journey. We can’t wish this away to fit postmodernist theory. I accept climate science AND biological and evolution science. People should not be vilified for wanting to discuss these issues.

Fake female, gender pretenders should not be allowed in women's sport or spaces.

There must be a debate based on scientific research and medical facts. Not sexually derived fantasies.

The Greens will self destruct within a few short years due to morally corrupt unrestrained egos so I’m not concerned with the party itself, but Linda deserves respect at the very least.

What is even the point of democracy greens?! Debating election results is straight out of trumps playbook. This is a clear authoritarian attack on democracy.

The treatment of these two women is appalling. The Greens should be ashamed.

Democracy before lunacy

This is a very important petition. We must protect our democratic processes and not allow one group to trample over the rights of others.

Shame on the Greens. I certainly won't be voting for them while they treat women brave enough to take a stand to protect the rights of women and gay people in this appalling manner.

I support my Australian sisters in their fight for the rights of biological women!

Unacceptable. Your agenda to silence women who speak out for the rights and safety of women and girls is transparent... and fully unacceptable. We SEE you. We know who you are. We won't stop.

Not how I expect the Green Party to act. Debate please, and respect for voters.

I left the Greens and let my membership laps after volunteering and working for the party in large part because of this issue.

I strongly believe in democracy

“Transphobia” is being used as a gag to shut down science and free-thinking.

The Greens are a spent force if they continue to allow anti-democratic tactics within their organisation.

Silencing debate for the sake of any one group is anti-intellectual and anti-democratic. I'm a supporter of trans rights and choices, as well as wanting to listen to women's rights campaigners who highlight issues with women's spaces. There is an ethical negotiated peaceful way through this contested rights issue that doesn't involve demonising or sacrificing either group.
