My kids are not doing well in this at all. There grades are not good at all. I work outside the home and now have been paying someone to come and help me once a week.

Let the kids go back to school and the teachers teach. The kids are suffering and getting left behind. Governors orders have been ruled unconstitutional. The excuses for educators to not educate are becoming less and less. I thought you guys did a survey before the school year started? If I remember correctly 70% of parents wanted their kids in class. So why not do a hybrid option like Portland is doing. Offer the online option for the parents that are scared of a virus with a 99.96 survival rate. LET THE KIDS LEARN!

I am able to work from home, or anywhere I can obtain a secure internet connection. I spend at least 1 day per week with my nephews (age 7 & 10), helping them with this virtual "learning". I am watching them go backward, their mental & emotional health are being severely affected. The negative impact caused to my family by the choice GLPS has made to not have in person options for learning cannot be measured or easily explained. These choices are causing harm to the children in the GLPS district. It is heartbreaking & frustrating.

Please remember we are not being selfish because we want our children back in school learning face to face. If grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, banks, and factories with over 3000 people inside their buildings in one 24 day can SAFELY operate so can schools. In the end it's our CHILDREN that are suffering the most from virtual learning.

How many teachers will die so your kids don’t “fall behind”? Everyone is behind, stop being selfish and think about the safety of the teachers. If you actually respected them you would keep them SAFE instead of forcing them onto the front lines. Shame on you for claiming to respect them.
Also, how depressed will your kids be when you have to explain why their teacher will never come back? What kind of lifelong mental scar does that leave?
