Was on reserve for 8 years and will probably be back after the merge. Crazy to be on call 24hr a day! Just not fair and needs to change.

I have been on Reserve for many years. I have had several incidents where I was awake from early morning to be ready if called out. Then received my assignment last in the afternoon to sit Airport Alert. Then given a trip to Europe that required me to fly all night. Sometimes being awake for 30 + hours. I was exhausted. I believe that it was no longer safe for me to do my job. But, when you are Reserve, you do it or loose your job! This needs to change!!

At the minimum there should be 2-3 overlapping shifts over a 24 hour period, so people can know when to sleep. Each block of duty days should have the same call out window for their bodies to be able to maintain some form of stability

Please put an end to 24 hour reserve. It's inhumane and not safe!

24hr ready reserve for 6 days straight is inhumane... You are never able to sleep and don't know when to sleep...

All other jobs where you are on call, the times are limited to 8-12 hour periods. Why should we be any different??

We, the flight attendants signing this petition, ask for the FAA duty period protections to apply to all United flight attendants. NO MORE READY RESERVE for 24 hours, 6 days a week!

Working a 24 on call day after day, years and years is inhumane, creating unnecessary stress and fatigue on workers. The pilots don't have it for a reason, why are flight attendants not included with them.

For safety and security, 24 hour on call should be illegal. FAs are human too, just like pilots, and decent rest is necessary to perform our safety duty.

This ta would be much better with am & pm reserve and to pick up from coming from off days!

24 hours on call means I am on DUTY! I am on the companies time and waiting for my phone to ring. I have received countless calls at anywhere from midnight-5am when most people including myself are trying to sleep. There needs to be an end to 24hour/6consecutive day on call duty periods for reserves! 12 hours at a time MAX with guidelines and restrictions on how many hours an FA can be on actual working duty. Thankful that you are doing this and look forward to a healthier future for all reserve flight attendants!
