The library administration finally approved the extension to midnight and my fellow students will actually have a place to study late through the summer. I am exhausted but relieved that our long nights in the clinic will finally be matched by proper access to our resources.
Currently the Medical Library at the University of West Indies only opens until 10 pm. This insufficiently serves the mostly clinical students who use the library during the summer. We are seeking to extend the hours to 12 am.
Seeing this much momentum from fellow students reminds me exactly why I started this fight for better access to our study spaces. Knowing we are all feeling the same pressure to succeed makes me hopeful that the administration will finally listen to our needs.

how about regular opening hours, from 3rd year up doesn't get summer holiday , which accounts for the majority of medical students among other medical sciences students who use the library during the summer.
Make it available.

YES! YES! YES! ,but they need to fix the A/C ASAP b/c the ventilation in the library is nonexistent while it's out.

Ridiculous that they cut hours when we are literally still in class. we pay enough fees for this library to stay open.

PLEASE!! we barely get any sleep as it is, having to head home early just to study in a noisy dorm is impossible.
