This would increase students ability to feel safe at night! I think it's a small price to pay for the safety of the students.

Actions to ensure student safety need to be taken before the first violent incident. Not after the 6th.

The past two robberies have happened very near campus and both of them before 10 -- having Titan Transport available during those hours would help to keep students safe.

When I was a student (2003-2007), Titan Transport gave me extra comfort toward feeling safe. I would wish the same for current students as well.

It was dark outside at 8 pm tonight. I tried to call Titan Transport. I walked home with my friend. If I had left my friends house 20 min later, I would have been around Ames during the time of the armed robbery.

My daughter has orchestra rehearsal until 9pm on Wed. at Presser and is concerned about getting back to her dorm safely. She also has friends in orchestra that live in the houses near the park. It is dark at 7pm, starting security at 10pm is too late.

These robberies have been happening where so many of us live. Titan Transport is a necessity, not a luxury. We cannot walk alone anymore. How long until this happens on campus?

This happened right in our back yard. Literally, the house behind our apartment building. Also, there are so many late night rehearsals and meetings on this campus. I don't want any of my friends shot or knifed down.
This is the only way I can think of to help keep my friends and I safe.

It's embarrassing that all the university has done so far is simply "alert" us of the events instead of actually DOING something about it! I haven't seen any increase in security on or around campus. I would go so far as to recommend extending titan transport hours until 2:30 or 3am even.

The safety of students should be the highest priority for IWU. It is an absolute disgrace that some students need to focus on their safety more than their studies! We need to make this happen ASAP!

Bring this up at a Student Senate meeting as well! The next General Assembly meeting is this Sunday (10/4) at 6pm in the Davidson room. Anyone in the student body is allowed to come to these meetings.
