This project requires a relatively low capital expenditure as compared with other tunneling projects in London, and would lever substantial social and cost benefits for the locality and the city in general.

The Tube to Camberwell was first proposed after the First World War : it is nearly 100 years overdue ! It would bring vibrant regeneration to an area of social deprivation.

One London's biggest and busiest hospitals is at Denmark Hill. It would be of huge value to place the extension within easy reach of it for the benefit of both patients and staff.

With one of London's biggest and busiest teaching hospitals on Denmark Hill, it must be right to route any extension within easy reach of it for the benefit of patients and staff alike.

Camberwell is long overdue to receive the economic boost a tube station will deliver. Camber we'll Train Station still stands derelict on Camberwell Station Road, so the costs must be much lower than alternate routes. However, all the wonderful mechanics in the arches of Station Road MUST be taken care of by Network Rail. Their livelihoods cannot be sacrificed at the altar of development.

Camberwell and Peckham need the tube to serve existing homes and businesses and should not continue to be blighted because they are not a 'new' development.
