Took the kids for a ride between Peka Peka and Waikanae this weekend, it was great, only pity was having to drive there and back. Its so much safer that riding on the roads, great being able to let the kids cycle at there own pace and not having to worry about cars.

The new shared path from Raumati South to Peka Peka is fantastic! I rode it the week it opened and saw people of all ages out using it, from toddlers to retirees. It's an amazing community resource, providing a safe and attractive place to cycle, walk, run, and ride a horse well away from traffic. Kapiti is all the better for it. Please don't miss the opportunity to extend this path all the way to Otaki. The signage is there already!

Please make this happen, it will be well used and is a safe way for those on pedal power, and those two footed or four to see our lovely stretch of land whilst gaining a breath of fresh air.

I would love a path either associated with the new expressway or beside the existing highway but in either case including a safe crossing of the Otaki river. Also it should be road bike friendly, no loose chips please.

As a rising 80 year old and a keen cyclist the pp2o shared pathway separated from the highway would add greatly to the cycling options available to me.

For relatively small extra cost a shared pathway for walkers, cyclists and horse riders will be a large benefit for the local community.

It's a travesty that a shared path is not currently in the plan. Come on board NZTA and allow Kapiti residents north of Waikanae the benefits that those closer to Wellington enjoy.

Please include Horse Riders on all trails. Recreation on horseback should be included in all planning for trails. Walkers, cyclists and horseriders can all share.

Include horse riders on all trails. Modern roads are too dangerous for horses. We can all share nicely.
