I 100% agree with this. Nothing is more discouraging then stepping away from social life on a Friday and trying to find a distraction free zone when our campus library closes at 6 pm.

One night the library closes at 11:45... my homework was due at midnight.. so I sat outside the library on a bench in horrible lighting trying to submit my homework. Not okay and not safe. Extend the hours!

I agree the library closing at 11:45, has cause me to have to stop right in the middle of studying and then it can be quite hard to start back up again.

Limited hours leads to limited education. Student's need access to a space where they can focus on studying uninhibited by distractions. By having limited hours Chico State says that they do NOT value education.

Based on suggestions from faculty, I changed the signature goal of the petition to 1,600 so as to provide a more accurate sample of the CSU Chico student body.
Need to study
Library should definitely extend hours
