Extend the Green Belt to Protect East Malling Village

The area surrounding East Mailing is beautiful and is a huge attraction to actually living in the area. Every effort should be made to avoid this unnecessary expansion. Kent should not be continually pressurised to be built upon, the key issue is to address london's housing plans. The number of vacant (investment) properties in London is ridiculous, if these were filled with genuine home owners there would be much less pressure on surrounding areas.

We need to love, nurture and keep our green spaces everywhere. Once it's gone, it's gone for good!

As a resident of East Malling i will support this extension of green belt proposal .once gone ...gone!

Green belt protection for this area is needed to help preserve the individual settings of West and East Malling, Kings Hill & Larkfield. Times change and with increasing pressure for development this extension is key.

Please for our kids preserve Green space between Kings Hill, West and East Malling for the benefit of all communities. It should be also be extended further East to Kiln Barn.

I am a former resident of West Malling and keep I regular contact with events and friends in this beautiful rural area. I support all suggestions to increase the Greenbelt protection for both West and East Malling and prevent The Kingshill sprawl encroaching any further into this area.

I completely support the petition to extend the green belt to protect East Malling and protect its unique character from being enveloped.

I support the extension of the green belt to Wateringbury road to protect the quiet lanes area and green separation between West Malling, Kings Hill and East Malling. Kings Hill should not develop beyond the boundaries of the airfield brownfield site on line with assurances provided when it was first proposed.

We must protect our beautiful green space. Kings Hill should not extend any further. We need the Green Belt to be extended to the furthest eastern point,

We need to keep a green area between Kings Hill, West Malling and East Malling to prevent them from becoming one single urban area. Kings Hill already has some 4,000 permission houses and should be kept to the brownfield airport boundaries as was always promised

The Green Belt certainly needs extending without delay. Large areas of Research Centre land have as far as I understand been offered up for possible development.

Keep East Malling as a separate village. Do not allow Kings Hill to expand any further

I support the easternmost extension of the Green Belt to protect East and West Malling, Larkfield and King Hill. This area is a valuable green lung for all those who live and work in these communities. We need room to breath and open spaces make that possible.

Although I don't live in or near East Malling, my lifelong best friend does and I support him.

Adverse effect on the East Malling community with noise disturbance and loss of privacy, Unacceptably high density of traffic in the area already using Wateringbury road as a Rat run and including all local access roads which cannot cope at the present time and without the additional predicted over developments , and adverse effects on Listed buildings etc in the area. Its Effect on Local schools Doctors and Hospitals which are already over prescribed .The countryside walks and fresh air enjoyed by many walkers bikers and Dog lovers will become a thing of the past.We already have proposed housing sites for Aylesford Paper mill and the underway site of Peters village on top of st Andrews Park Halling , Holborough Lakes all using the A228 by-pass for access , and the Preston Hall development affecting the A20 access to the Hospital...where does it all end.

Our country side must be protected. East Malling must be protected. Broadwater Farm must become greenbelt.

As a regular walker in the area, I enjoy these spaces. I do not want East Malling to be swallowed up by Kings Hill, nor do I want traffic from KH using Chapel Street / High Street as access / rat run

Apart from keeping East and West Malling separate, the green space between them has a special ambiance and character that many local residents regularly enjoy. It must be protested!
