I always believed that 3mths was wayyyyy too short because 6weeks after a baby is born is noooo time to go back out. People usually try to get their vacation onto it and its not always possible and where approved then during the year when they really need the vacation, they have already used it up for example the maternity leave and vacation ended in Feb, they have the rally out the rest of the year juggling work and a newborn, not easy.

I absolutely agree with this and support all efforts 100% . My son was delivered at 7months + via c-section and as a result spent 1 month in NICU. Therefore, only resulting in us spending only two months together. It was tough trying to grasp and cope with everything in two months while my body was trying to heal. More time is definitely needed.

I believe time is needed for mother and child to bond. And especially time for the mom to adjust , also to deal with issues such as post partial depression which is a big issue for ladies.

Anything to improve the health of our nation. Let's see how long it takes for the government to take this serious and of course to assist employers in implimenting this process which can be costly.

I agree with this cause it withh really help with the development of our children and families.It is a great iniative for future babies and breastfeeding mothers and fathers. Fathers also want to bond I believe 2 weeks is a great signal in the right direction.

Mothers working at home can also be an option. We are still functional even when we have a baby on the breast.
