This is a petition to get the University to open Mrs E's at 8am on weekends, and until 10pm on week days. As a student living in McCollum Residence Hall on Daisy Hill at KU I was required to purchase a meal plan, at great expense, for the student dining facilities. Since there is no place within our halls to cook we are required to eat all our meals at Mrs E's. HOWEVER, Mrs E's closes every evening at 7:30pm, a time that many people would not even consider starting dinner, and only opens at the weekend at 11am, which is well beyond the time many people wish to go for breakfast. Many of the students living on Daisy Hill also have classes that finish late, in some cases much later than 7:30. These opening times are ludicrously short, especially since this is the only place available to eat on our meal plans. This is a petition to get the University to open Mrs E's at 8am on weekends, and until 10pm on week days!
