Brock University is becoming ridiculously cheap. They have
not respected students and workers. That will explain why Brock University's
ESL instructors decided to go on strike in March, 2012. Brock University have pushed
students' limits by not opening Market, Decew and Lowenberger dining halls at
7:30 am for breakfast. Campus and residence cafeterias are suppose to be
convenient. Classes at Brock University starts at 8:00 am. Does Brock
University expect every student on campus eat at McDonald or walk all the way
to walker cafeteria for breakfast before their morning class. Numerous studies
have shown that breakfast is a very important and healthy meal for students. By
not opening these cafeteria for breakfast, Brock University is encouraging an
unhealthy life style for students. In addition, during the weekend, Decew and
Lowenberger cafeteria are closed. Last year I have discussed a similar matter
with Jamie Fleming (Director of Residences) about reopening Decew and
Lowenberger Cafeteria on weekends, but we can see that he did not listen to
this suggestion. Cafeteria that are specifically designed for residence should
be open all the time for residence student while campus cafeteria should be
designed for students who live off campus. Residence students should not be
walking outside on weekends to a campus cafeteria. It is a disgrace for Brock
University to be an educational institution while the cafeteria in Decew and
Lowenberger is open until 1:00pm it means that Brock University encourages 1st
year residence student to stay up late.

Total joke. I have an 8am class and I end up skipping breakfast every single day because nothing is open. Fix this.
