By signing this petition, you agree to support an extension of library hours in the Eric Sevareid library in Murphy hall - the official library for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. 1. The library is currently only open from 9:00am-4:30pm M-Th, when many students are in class, and is closed entirely on weekends. 2. The library resources, including computers equipped with necessary SJMC software, should be available for SJMC students in the evenings consistent with other school libraries across campus. 3. There is no alternative study/lounge space within Murphy Hall for SJMC students. 4. Computer lab equipment is limited to students who are currently in a "lab" class.
