really need 2 hours of parking because if I have a hair appointment, that can take over an hour and then I shall want to do some shopping and then maybe a coffee or lunch. One hour is not enough. So I go elsewhere.

I think one hour on high street and market street is long enough. 2 hours in the carparks, which are only 2 or 3 minutes walk, would be good. if it is changed to 2 hours it will stop people popping into to town for a quick visit because there wont be anywhere to park. The spaces directly outside the shops are for quick visits only. why do you need to park right outside the cafe when you come in for a longer visit?

One free hour is insufficient time for visitors to enjoy the cafes and shop at the same time.

The traders in the town need all the support we can get during what continues to be difficult times. This is one tangible way in which the HPBC can help.

It will certainly improve takings in the shops. We want to support local shops instead of having to shop at big supermarkets with FREE PARKING.

This should be put into action as a lot of businesses are suffering because of parking limits,

That would be brilliant.

At 8 and a half months pregnant I slipped and fell on the ice trying to rush back to my car after an appointment due to the 60 min limit. As I had fallen I was 10mins late and found the traffic warden giving me a ticket. 60 mins is not enough time to use the services provided by a lot of businesses and it is impacting the town

Hpbc should be encouraging visitors and residents alike to stay longer to make full use of our town. Local businesses need this to happen. The parking extension should be for all car parks throughout the borough

Local businesses need help not punishment. How can they compete with shopping centres with free parking otherwise.

We need to do all we can to help New Mills shopping centre survive and thrive. Parking fines are deterring people from staying to shop in the town.
