This is a petition for the removal of explicit billboard advertisements in West Virginia including the Beckley and surrounding areas. We believe that all roadside billboards for explicit clubs and businesses should be banned, as they do not portray the atmosphere for which the state of West Virginia represents. We are aware that every state has "gentleman's clubs", but West Virginia has failed to regulate the roadside advertisement of them impacting the initial impression of those traveling to or through the area. We believe it could have a negative impact on our tourism industry, which is one of our state's man sources of revneue. It also could lead to a shift in the people types attracted to our state for residency, creating a less safe and less family friendly environment for future generations.
