The administration at Westfield State University should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

This is disturbing and threatening behavior. The school should be ashamed it has a student representing the university who is condescending and threatening women’s safety. This should be an immediate expulsion

Whether meant in a joking manner or not, serious words demand serious consequences.

If he thinks it’s OK to make these comments, do you think he’s also believing that it’s OK to take those actions that he’s talking about? I’ve never been so fearful about going to school with somebody like this.

Jack is ruining the entire climate and culture of the campus. If I was a woman I would not feel safe living or studying on the same campus as Jack.

Changing the culture starts with condemning this behavior. Institutions of higher education have an opportunity and a RESPONSIBILITY to actively educate students to do better and be better, which also means holding students responsible when they behave in ways that are harmful and damaging to others. This one decision can either be a step in the right direction or ten steps backwards, and though there are legal complications from a university standpoint, WSU needs to prioritize the protection of students and make it clear that these actions are not acceptable as part of their community.

Get him off campus, he doesn’t deserve the badge if he acts like this

This boy's words are deeply unsettling and should be taken as a threat.

Don’t allow someone like him to earn a criminal justice major. Let’s prevent future rapes . Imagine this guy becoming a cop and representing your school?

He CANNOT continue to be educated to become a corrupt cop

As someone with a younger sister attending Westfield State, I am angry and disgusted that the administration would not take this threat seriously. I hope Westfield State makes the correct choice, denying this student from returning, and improving their defense against rape culture on behalf of all victims of sexual assault and their students moving forward.
