As an alumni of Westfield State, I would be hard pressed to recommend any students of mine, especially female and LGBTQ, to attend Westfield State University. With how this, and other cases I’ve known of, have been handled by Westfield State, I unfortunately would be doing a disservice to any student of mine to recommend Westfield State to them. Should the University decide to enact a more strict and rigid policy against proven and unproven sexual predators attending their university, I may consider recommending Westfield State to my students once again.

The only right thing for WSU to do is expel this student and immediately enact new policies so a decision like this never needs to take this long again. As an alumni, this is embarrassing.
