The state has officially passed legislation banning the private ownership of exotic animals. This outcome honors the lives of these creatures by ensuring they remain in their natural habitats. I appreciate your patience as we saw this campaign through to its conclusion.

In light of the recent killing of a tiger in California because his owner let him out, we the undersigned urge you, Governor Schwarzenegger, to push legislation through to ban the ownership of exotic animals in California. These beautiful creatures belong in the jungles, not peoples\' homes. Thank you for your time and consideration on this subject.

Poor tiger. It never should have been in a house in the first place. Keep wild animals wild.

Totally agree. Dangerous for the owner and the neighborhood.

Bout time we put a stop to this nonsense. People buy these animals for ego and they end up paying the price. Ban it now.

It is not a pet it is a predator. Common sense needs to kick in.

Heartbroken hearing about that tiger. They belong in the wild not in suburbia.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Who thinks they can just keep a tiger in their backyard??
