EWP - Fiona

I am one of the lollipop people at EWP and have known Fiona for over 30 yrs . I was in belief when I heard of Fiona’s redundancy. She is so competent, devoted and loved by staff , parents and most importantly the children . Perhaps you don’t know Fiona like we all do , just read the comments and you will see for yourselves that you have made a big mistake with your decision . Some people are irreplaceable and Fiona is one of them . I trust you will reconsider your decision .

This is very sad to hear given she’s devoted herself to supporting children’s learning needs and is loved by all. I pray that businesses who make decisions based on personal views and not the contributions of long standing employees, consider the consequences of major change in Children and families lives.

I have been a parent of EWP, a past Board member, and am still a service provider to the Preschool. Over the years I have been so impressed by Fiona’s ‘can-do’ style, she solves every issue in a down to earth, practical manner with ease and warmth. She has managed EWP through transitioning from a Preschool to Long Day Care Centre whilst retaining its’ core values, and oversaw its’ smooth running during major renovations to the campus. EWP was in very safe hands under her strong leadership. I am so shocked to hear she has been removed as Director - this is a devastating blow to the EWP community.

I have worked casually at the EWP and have never come across a team of staff that work so coherently and contently together. Fiona is most definitely instrumental in creating this sense of shalom bayit and the strong team environment. I have never met anyone who has a bad word to say about her and if anything parents I’ve spoken with love her relaxed, relatable and caring disposition.

A very disappointing outcome. Fiona was a much loved, passionate and motivated leader. Her removal is a significant loss

I am not a parent at the preschool, however, I have many friends and community members who light up everytime they speak of the preschool and the staff. This is something unique and I know is due to the leadership, love and hard work by Fiona.

Have only ever heard how wonderful Fiona is. Many moms rave and say she is the heart and soul of the school. This is very distressful

Deeply saddened by this news! Fiona has built up an incredible , happy school over the last few years and is completely dedicated to her job! So unfair!

I worked under Fiona as the lollipop man for 1 year and only has positive encounters. The true heart and soul of EWP.

My experience of working with Fiona is that she puts the children’s emotional well-being first and foremost.

I support Fiona as director of EWP!

How disappointed I am, we are going to be parents again at EWP....will we have to rethink our choice?

Fiona is an outstanding person and hard worker. you would be at a major loss without her

Fiona is the most down to earth and no nonsense principal - her care for each student surpasses any call of duty and she is not only an asset in her role at the preschool but a member of the Jewish community as a whole

Shocking decision.

Disgusting

As a past board member of Emanuel Preschool and someone who has observed the incredible transformation of the Emanuel Preschool I am appalled by this move from the Emanuel Synagogue Board. I would strongly suggest transparency by the shil and perhaps the termination of the Enanuel Synagogue Board based on this type of mismanagement. I am a member of the Synagogue and cannot accept the lack of integrity by the Synagogue management.
