This is a disgrace to our institution. Education has always been the core of EWC. Totally disagree

Do what needs to be done to KEEP the Department open. Bring standards into compliance. Better utilize funding earmarked to assist lower performing students . There is a rich legacy of educators who both matriculated through and taught at Edward Waters College. To close this department would be a slap in the face of our foremothers and fathers who founded this institution to ensure Black men and women would have opportunities never afforded to them in the past. EWC the oldest HBCU in Florida. Don’t close the department!

Please keep this department open. It has helped so many of Duval County Public Schools teachers.

Edward Waters has developed so many great teachers. Do not close the program. Whatever is broken can be fixed.

I have a degree from Edward Warets and I have been a teacher in Duval County Public schools the entire time. I could not have endured these 23 years without the lessons I learned at E.W.C. Lessons I would not have acquired any where where else

This is utterly ridiculous to close the education program. It will have an impact on enrollment.

I am also, a product of this degree program. This program taught and gave me the resources, skills, values, and morals I needed to be successful in my career. My dream has always been to become a teacher and make a difference in the lives of our youth. Because of this program my dream became true. Before you can become anything in this world you have to go through a teacher first!!! Keep the Education Department, and let's continue to educate our youth, and mold them into greatness!

I graduated from Edward Waters College in 1996 with a degree in Education. Please DO NOT allow this to happen because there are students who still desire to become an educator.

Closing down the program is not fair for the freshman that just arrived here and the ones who didn’t complete their education courses for their major. This program is one of the highest programs to be enrolled in. It doesn’t make sense to close it when a lot more solutions could have been made.
