To Whom it May Concern:

Your most recent “Bullseye” segment of Entertainment Weekly had a section on “The Mentalist” which stated: “The Mentalist reveals its Big Bad, Red John to the satisfaction of all three people who still care about The Mentalist.”

This was an unnecessary and insulting statement to the still existing large fan following of the television series “The Mentalist”, not to mention the commited and incredibly talented cast and crew of the television show.

I really did not expect this to blow up like it has because I was just annoyed at the time I wrote it. Seeing so many people actually feel the same way about that throwaway remark is honestly kind of validating for the show and its fans who never left.

Whoever wrote that is an embarrassment to members of the press. If that's the level of professionalism EW maintains, they need to take a good look at who they're hiring. As a journalist, I'm offended.

Well, you have no idea about The Mentalist Fandom. There are so many of us, that we can make "The Mentalist" trending on twitter 5 times a day... So many that we can make TM win the Peoples choice award and so many that we became a worldwide FAMILY :)

So the show that wins Most Watched Drama Series in the World at the 53rd Television Festival of Monte Carlo only has three viewers? Poor EW, good luck hiring someone a little brighter next time.

I love and have watched The Mentalist since season 1. It CONSISTENTLY gets the top ranks with Castle on fanwebsites for most viewings and activity, it has trended WORLDWIDE countless of times these past two months. Everyone loves it. Yes, found this insulting to the crew and fans.

I've followed this show since it started and still love it; to make such a scathing comment is not only insulting to the writers and actors but also to the fanbase who follow and watch it happily every week.

Reveals its of all three people who still care about The Mentalist. How dare they think represent the audience for the series (which is quite large) Here in Brazil, as Carla Oliveira said are passionate, publication misinformed.

I think this is very disrespectful to the cast and crew, who work so hard on this show, and to the many dedicated fans.
