If people want homogenous buildings there's plenty of Amherst suburbs to go to. Elmwood is unique in its architecture and should be preserved.

Do not shut down theae local businesses to build another massive eye soar. I grew up walking up and down Elmwood visiting all the mom and pop shops. You guys are ruining it .

The Elmwood Village is being destroyed. Where is East Aurora wisdom when we need it !

Making buildings 3 or more stories will ruin the neighborhood. The charm of that area is the houses and the village atmosphere. Buildings with many stories will ruin that.

There are so many areas in the city that need to be developed. Elmwood Village is unique and represents small businesses in Buffalo. A large building that doesn't fit in with the environment is not what the people want, especially since historic buildings will be demolished. PLEASE, build in areas that need this building, ie: north Main Street, Elmwood Avenue north of Amherst Street or even parts of East Side.

This would ruin the best neighborhood in our city. There is plenty of other space to build. These buildings are among the gems that we need to preserve and we need to protect the neighborhood from become generic!

This project is a horrible idea. The existing structures should not be torn down. The project proposal looks like it should be in the suburbs or in a strip mall in Florida. Keep Buffalo beautiful, and preserve its character, please!

To demolish so great a swath of historic architecture in this area and have it replaced by the monolithic unsympathetic structure proposed would do irreparable damage to the quality of life in the Elmwood Village for decades to come. We cannot allow this firm to "slip under the wire" and undo all the years of good committed work by the citizens of the city and the many City Council Members who facilitated the creation our truly democratic and uniquely progressive Green code.

The City has spent 6 years, thousands of hours and probably hundreds of thousands of dollars [at least!] to develop the Green Code. We need to have this project -- and all proposed projects -- determined under the Green Code. I am not anti-development, I am pro-preserving the unique character of the Elmwood Village and pro-lawful, transparent process that respects our community.
