In addition, the proposed design looks like someone tried to make as big a building as possible using all the leftover Lego pieces. It is not only not consistent with the character of the area, it's not consistent with itself.

Too many buildings are being demolished. I want to save the house on the corner of Bidwell and Elmwood. The turret on the house is what makes Elmwood so unique.

The Elmwood Village has long been a densely populated, successful neighborhood - long before Mr Ciminelli and his company entered the picture. In my opinion, the Ciminelli group wishes to capitalize on the success of the area for their own immediate profit, to the detriment of much of that which has made the area successful to begin with. This project is in conflict with the spirit of the Green Code, as it has been revised, and at odds with the commitment of so many, to preserve the charm and historical character of our Elmwood Village.

I believe the proposed buildings do not keep with the Elmwood Village scale. This will cause the area to lose its historic appeal. This project belongs On Main Street or Delaware Ave where the scale is appropriate. Elmwood is a village which leads to neighborhoods. Also Ciminilli needs to STOP being a bully and making threats when they don't get their way!

I am opposed to any demolition taking place before the adoption of the green code. I am opposed to any variance allowing for structures taller than 3 stories allowed for by green code in Elmwood Village. I support landmark status for structures on northwest corner of Elmwood and Bidwell Parkway.

This and several other projects profoundly threaten the character and charm of Elmwood Village. In fact, these projects capitalize on that very charm as they seek to monetize it for their own gain.

I'm a homeowner in the Elmwood Village and bought a home there specifically because of its unique character, which this project as proposed would destroy.

The Elmwood Village, where my husband and I reside, has character, personality. That's why we moved into this neighborhood. We do not need or want 4-story structures. We do not need or want to look like other, shinier places. We love the small local shops and do not want this new construction. We live here. We vote. We matter.

Our historical Elmwood Village area is unique for its varied architecture. This development is planned for the communnity heart of EV, and is against compliance with the new Green Code. Don't let Ciminelli sneak under the line before the Green Code is in effect. This is against the spirit of all that EV is for us.

It would be a mistake to tear down buildings on Elmwood. The area is unque right now and replacing them undermine the charm and quality of the neighborhood.

Elmwood village should stay true to its mom and pops businesses, not become corporate buildings. Local businesses are important and essential to Buffalo.

Envy Us looks was a great addition to the Elmwood Village and the barber game on that strip. Before they opened there was only 2 other shops on the street. A highly desirable area with so many people looking for haircuts, Envy Us made it possible for other shops in the area to manage volume by opening its doors and becoming very popular at the same time. Causing them to move off elmwood would be terrible for the neighborhood folks
