Renovation and reuse is better for our historic city. We should be Building new in vacant areas. The Elmwood Village is popular because it feels like a little village like East Auroras Main Street. It's not meant to be blown up. It's the local neighborhood center and a destination point. Put the new buildings on the parking lots downtown. Let's get our sky rise on where we should (open lots and parking lots downtown) and keep or villages historic ,walkable and cute.

The proposed plan does not take into account the current businesses and people who live in the Elmwood Village. It's scale is inappropriate to the neighbourhood and like many of the current new builds, lacks architectural innovation or charm.

This is Buffalo, not Amherst! This neighborhood does not need 5 story buildings. Would you like to live next door? Build it downtown!

This gutting and tearing down of structures in The Elmwood Village has to stop. There is plenty of room in other areas close to the Buffalo Medical Campus which is the " engine " for this mucking up of the unique community that we are. The horrible structures put up on the Strip look really ugly and out of place. I cringe at the plans for Children's redevelopment. I feel this intrusion and destruction of our village as an attempt to suburbanize the strip so people from places such as Orchard Park, Hamburg, East Aurora will feel at home and "safe with underground parking ans big name stores. First these towns tried to copy us then that didn't work so they want to own us. We are a unique and happy neighborhood, I say" stop this attempt to take the very soul of The Village. I just am so angry at the not so pleasant changes here. Keep the original flavor of Elmwood and STOP these ugly, ungainly behemoth, intrusive, buildings from going up at the expense of the wonderful architecture that already exists here.

Let us remember what attracted us to Elmwood Avenue. It wasn't the mid rise apartment complexes Dolores Sheehan 189 Cleveland

The proposed structures are foul abominations that completely lack any of the quaint, appealing, Victorian characteristics of Elmwood Village.

These historic building need t be saved . I was a resident of that neighborhood and of one of the houses to be demolished and i am SICKENED that the City of Buffalo would allow this important part of Elmwood village to be destroyed.

the ciminelli plan, as it now sits, is a monstrosity! send them back to the drawing board to design something that will enhance the neighborhood instead of defacing it.

Please do not allow the oversized out of character development on Elmwood at Potomac and Bidwell All new developments need to adhere to the new and improved Green Code

Elmwood Village is a desirable place to live and enjoy because of it's character, which includes its historic buildings. Let's not destroy one of the "Top 10 Neighborhoods" of America by demolishing a huge swath of real estate in the heart of the village, and putting up modern structures, whose scale and designs are out of character!
