I am not anti-development. I do firmly support the Green Code and I resent attempts to curcumvent it. From now on, demolition does not occur until plans are approved for what is taking the structure's place.

The charm of the Elmwood Strip is, in large part, the reason I moved to Buffalo from the suburbs. The proposed Ciminelli construction project does not reflect the aesthetic I came to love. Their threatening stance, I.e.: the nuclear option, worries me that they do not have the village interests at heart. Please don't allow bullying to destroy this irreplaceable gem of a neighborhood.

This proposed project is not in keeping with the Elmwood District and has no place on an Olmstead Parkway.

This development does not adequately take into account the scale and character of the existing neighborhood or the wishes of the majority of the community members that live, work and shop there. This development appears to be driven by the developer's desire to maximize leasable space without the inconvenience of listening to actual neighbors.

This big project is not needed in the Elmwood Village area. Besides being out of character for the area development is NOT needed in this well established area. Many other areas in Buffalo are in need of development.

This is supposedly the 1st project to come under the Green Code (GC), so it should comply a full 100% with it. If variances are granted with the 1st project - what are we to expect from future projects. I'm afraid nothing will ever fully comply with the GC if this early precedent is set, which would be a travesty given the amount of time and energy was put into making the GC what it is today.

There are many areas around the city, including on Elmwood down near the soon to be former Children's Hospital where this development would be more fitting and appropriate. The location at Elmwood and Bidwell is not one of those locations.

The Ciminelli plan is NOT in the best interests of the Elmwood community. It is completely out of scale and not respectful of the surrounding buildings and residences.

Monoliths like this are out of place in the EV. We have density enough while other parts of the city are need it badly. No inclusive housing provisions and commercial leases will be so high that start ups are choked off and this will ripple up and down Elmwood leading to more national franchises that can afford the investment. Smart development is welcomed but this just a feeding frenzy profit opportunity out of proportion to the Olmsted environment. As an aside - the names are pretty stupid and meaningless also.

Astounding arrogance on the part of Ciminelli. Clear lack of interest in the desires of the community.

I am not in favor of this project at all. Olmsted blood runs deep in my veins and I will oppose any affront to his unique urban spaces and design aesthetic. The fact that spokes persons for Cimminelli stated on numerous instances that this project is sensitive to Olmsted's visions is an insult to us all. They cannot be more obtuse. Anyone with even a casual interest can look at this design next to Olmsted's and scream at the absurdity of its scale and lack of vision.

Follow the green code with its limit on building size and also adopt reuse strategies for the existing builings. Do not destroy the character and attractiveness of this area with structures that do not fit in.

I don't live there but go there often in the summer and my sister lives nearby. 3 stories is high enough.
