Euclid Avenue Bicycle Plan

I'm living off campus next year and I would feel so much safer biking to classes if there were bike lanes on Euclid.

I would love to be able to bike safely around the University neighborhood with my family. We need a bike lane!

Make it safe to bike and drive a car on Euclid Avenue - a bike path is a great idea!

This is the busiest bicycling street and it is past time to put actual bike lanes on Euclid all the was to Comstock.

Every time I bike down Euclid, I worry for my life. This is also one of the busiest and most crucial streets linking the campus to student housing and the numerous activities on Westcott.

I recently bought a house off of Nottingham rd and was looking forward to biking to work ( I work at Upstate Medical Center). I did not realize how dangerous Euclid Ave is for cyclists. While, this will not deter me, I wholly support any action taken to improve safety for cyclists in Syracuse.

I live in a different city, but I know that safe transportation corridors for bicyclists in all cities is vitally important. I have been struck by vehicles twice in my city while completely following the rules of the road. Cyclists have no safety features built in, we are skin and bone, fragile, not encased in metal and plastic. Let's build the safety into our infrastructures, and all enjoy the roads together.

As a your typical studeny who bikes to class daily, a bike lane is necessary. It really is dangerous to bike on Euclid. If it is such an 'inconvience' look at cities such as Copenhagen and Amsterdam in Europe. Here more than half of the population bikes and people still drive. A redesign can easily accomodate bikes, cars, and traffic. Just google a picture of Copenhagen.

My family loves to bike, but the University neighborhood traffic makes it frightening and unsafe, especially once SU is back in session. A dedicated bike lane on Euclid would make it safer for everyone.

I am a student at SUNY Esf and university neighborhood resident. I support making Euclid safer for walkers, cyclists, and drivers.

I live in the Berkeley Park neighborhood and support improving safety for cycling commuters and others who use Euclid and nearby streets regularly.

I live on Kensington Rd. and cycle for exercise as well as for transportation. The current situation on Euclid is unacceptable, given the large amount of cycling and auto traffic. My belief is that a Complete Street makeover is the way to go.
