This should not even have to be signed considering this is an ‘environmental university’

Diversify now and reap the profits in the future when others follow suit, whilst also making a small positive change to the planet.

Exeter Alumni, renewable energy engineering student. I reckon on behalf of every RE student that I met. Come on, it's about time. There's so much growth in 'ethical' companies, we know you can do better. Good job Robin!

On the Environmental Science course here and also a human on Earth. Exeter should practice what they preach and not support anything contributing to climate change like this.

As a parent of a student, I would most sincerely like Exeter University to pull out investments in companies that flout environmental and health issues.

You shouldn't invest in fossil fuels or guns.

It's perhaps indicative of the reputation of the University that I'm been less surprised by this than I maybe should be.

In my every day life I always think about the implications of my actions and try and live in a way that is as ethical as possible. When there are other options available, it is beyond disappointing that my University does not follow this same code of ethics - a code that we should all be following in the 21st century.

It seems at odds with the University of Exeter's reputation that a petition for divestment is needed; such a so progressive and forward thinking university with such a strong record in ecology and conservation, could have a big influence and lead the way for others if it were to divest from fossil fuels.
