mental health issues are running rampant in our society and we are needed as much as we need RPN's. A huge disservice is being done here.

Allow CRPNBC to register Nursing Students so that they can gain employment through ESN! It is unjust and an infringement on the rights of the Psychiatric Nursing Students of BC for them to be unable to gain employment under ESN simply because you - the Ministry of Health - are unwilling to allow a bylaw change. If need be, we will take this to court! The Supreme Court will uphold the Psychiatric Nursing Students of BC's rights to employment under ESN.

We are equally as important as RN students. RPN students have the training, the passion, and the dedication that will be so beneficial for health authorities. Please do not deny RPN students the opportunity to practice and gain that experience required to develop our nursing skills. When you deny us, RPN students, you are denying many mental health and health facilities the opportunity to train and receive help. You are denying patients the opportunity to access additional help. In addition, you are taking away financial opportunities that can help us further our education in the fall.

This is very disappointing to hear. The transition from student to working nurse is going to be difficult. The opportunity to take part in the ESN program helps bridge that much needed gap. Missing out on this work experience would be a huge loss.

As a patient of Crohns disease, i hope one day to see better nurses, nurses who have the heart to be it. Good luck to future nurses.
