Erection of a Ferris Wheel in The Point, Mossel Bay

My objection because I think it will detract from the sense of place of the Point area. There is a spillover and knock on effect of busy-ness and traffic for the centre and old part of town. It seems decision makers in Mossel Bay are bending over backwards to please non residents, at the cost of those living here. Especially those living in the vicinity. The nature of the town is changing, for the sake of this type of thing. You'll loose your permanent residents

Please errect it somewhere else - to protect our beautiful Point!

I wholeheartedly agree with Heritage Mossel Bay and therefore support this petition. A Ferris wheel would be a great additional attraction in the Mossel Bay area, but the iconic Point is not a good or desirable place considering the heritage and aesthetic value of the area. A site at Diaz Beach - already transformed with tall structures - or Hartenbos, or even a site which needs more feet would be more appropriate.

Not the right place

Create congestion of site that cannot handle local traffic at the moment, not even to mention tourists. Also a sore sight for such a beautiful place. The zip line is bad enough.

Parking will be a big issue as well as the traffic flow. It might be better suited at Diaz area

Please no ferris wheel at the beautiful Point area, where many people go for meditation, peace and calm at that very special naturally created area.
