Our contract proposals are fair and equitable. Dragging out the contact negotiations does not reflect the respect and justice we need and deserve. Housing costs are unaffordable. Our wages have not kept up with continually rising costs. WE WORK HARD EVERY DAY to support the citizens of our community. Management benefits when we have a fair and strong contract. My standard of living has decreased over the years working at the county as wages and COLA have not kept pace with the reality of our economy. It is demoralizing, inequitable, and unjust. The management bargaining team needs to work with urgency to reach a contract that reflects the values and the mission of Multnomah County. CONTRACT --- NOW!!!

This much deserved and long overdue on both counts. Equity is something we all should strive for, Those of us who have been "topped out" some of us for 15 years are living on a fixed income. Cola's have not kept pace. Last significant raise we got....we gave back to prevent layoff's.

COLAs should keep up with the rising prices in Portland. We deserve to live in a nice and affordable place and we can't not afford rent prices anymore.

In a nation of uncertainty leadership, politics and ethics, we, as employees should have a certainty with our health care, pay and COLA rates. We are a hard working organization comprised of productive members of a diverse society that contributes and strives for a positive future.
