If this work matters, we should be able to get our contract settled. The Commissioners and their representatives need to live up to the policies that they set for their workers: equity, healthcare and a living wage.

Please retro the COLA back to July 1st 2017. That extra $600-$800 will help with Christmas bills, this negociation is taking WAY TO LONG!

Why do others get paid to stay home and I am required as an essential employee to take vacation if I can't make it in? Local 88 staff interact with inmates daily! We don't deserve the same differential as the RN's?

As we continue to serve the residents of this county without a contract our managers have been granted large raises and additional vacation time. Without us we could not meet the needs of the county. Why have you made us the lowest priority? Why do you treat us with such utter disrespect? Please take the time to approve our contract.

This is gone on long enough.

Please consider supporting a “real world” COLA. This would be fair and just with Portland’s increasingly high cost of housing and living.

We don’t even make enough working full time to afford what it costs to live in Multnomah County

I was very disappointed that even back in the very first bargaining sessions (April?), management was completely unprepared to bargain, and brought nothing to the the table. For months they have dragged their feet. I find this to be disrespectful, and not worthy of our government.

I’m a Portland native that is struggling to survive and stay in the city. The explosion in the cost of living and expansion of gentrification doesn’t just effect the nameless and faceless, but also county employees. Often those in public facing positions trying help others in similar situations. Set a good example. Do the right thing without having to be shamed into doing it.

The cost of living in this area has proved to be difficult to maintain. A COLA is needed for all.

Non sworn personnel are just as valued as sworn. Do the right thing by providing a fair and equitable contract.
