I think we should be aloud back on the trail if dogs can poop on the trails and no problems it should be the same for horses too

Well I guess Kelowna and lake country want us horse riders to actually use the laws now riding in slow lane through town, blocking traffic so it all funnels into one lane, and all cars trucks must have a person twenty feet out in front of them with a lantern walking to protect horses and wagons. Or allow us to use the trails,which do you think would be smarter hmmmm

The Okanagan Rail Trail is for equestrians to enjoy too! Equestrians are taxpayers too!
Access to the trail Psychologically supports citizens and their animals.

If trails aren't for horse and buggies what ARE they for. This is a part of Canadak4 heritage, yet soon there will be nowhere that one can experience and long distance buggy ride through Canada's wilderness. Yes it will require monitoring to ensure no galloping occurs and possibly pooper scooper maintenance but that's 'A Job' Someone could have.

The rail trail should be a multi use trail, enjoyed by a diversity of users and community members - not only cyclists.

Horses are a very good hobby for people to be involved in. It teaches kids responsibility, kindness, all sorts of skills and keeps kids outdoors and active. Why not encourage this in your community by allowing the horse community to continue to grow with access to local trails such as this one? I was one of those kids... A kid who was kept out of trouble because I was too busy with horses to get drunk or try drugs. A kid who found comfort in another being when emotions ran high. I can’t count the number of times my tears fell on the neck of a horse. Now I’m an adult and horses bring my stress level down and keep me grounded. Please allow horses to access as many trails as possible to keep this hobby and community alive and strong!

Horses, hikers, bicycles, dogs, quads etc can all get along together, Just follow the usual rules of giving way to equestrians. These trails are some of the few places left that horses can go other than in a ring. Equestrian trail riders also like to see our country. Animals (dogs and horses) should all be on a leash (lead rope, under saddle etc NOT loose)

Horse owners are tax payers, too! Horse owners and their horses should definitely ba able to use the trail. Riders can stop, kick the poop to the side, if need be.

Most people enjoy sharing with horse riders, remember that is how most travel was done in the past ( not that long ago)!

Horses are our history and heritage. If manure is the issues request a manure badge on carriages. It allows people with mobility issues out as well. Let's be inclusive. Personally I hate bike flying by me and barely missing my on leash dog.

It infuriates me as a taxpayer that projects funded by taxpayer's that are designed for recreational use are only accessible to a privileged few when there is no justifiable reason to not allow this to be safely used and shared by many user groups including various equestrian groups.

Horse and riders have been using this trail system a lot longer then the cyclists and recreational hikers. We are a respectful community that understand how to share the trail with all. Plus our tax dollars have helped to pay for the wonderful improvements.
