us horse riders would be SO appreciative and respectful if we were allowed on the trail. Just as we are everywhere! We are just that way in all of our rides. We just want to enjoy the amenities like everyone else.

it is important horses and riders have safe places to go, and for most, that is the rail trail. many cant afford a trailer to travwlbto safe trails and when pushed to ride on roads it is unsafe fir horse, rider, drivers, padestrians.

I think everyone should be able to use the trails. We all pay taxes. Stop excluding people.

I've ridden on the KVR five times and thoroughly enjoy trips with my horse to the Okanagan, in that spirit I feel the Rail Trail should be multi- user.

This seems like a case of divide and conquer. Years ago when we were signing the petition to turn it into a linear park it was supposed to be for everyone, bicycles, horses, and motorcycles/atv's. They've managed ban the motorized vehicles and the horse people and bicyclists didn't complain. Now they are getting rid of the horses. Not everyone is capable of riding a bike for miles along the trail. It should be for everyone to enjoy regardless of physical ability.

I’m building the rail trail in Kelowna and prepping it for asphalt but I support ur cause I got forced out of Squamish cause they made all the horse trails into bike trails

I don’t live in the area but I don’t understand why the trail can’t be shared and enjoyed by many users. I go to the interior to camp with my horses and enjoy visiting different trails. Do not put all your apples in one basket by allowing only a few to use the trail. There is more than a cyclist and jogger that visit your area. The trail can be shared by all with a bit of education and understanding .

Of course Horses should be allowed on the trails, they roamed the lands long ago and leave nothing but compostable waste and do not ruin trails, they are quiet and compatible with all the wild animals and also allow multiple users that otherwise would not get out on that trail. There are few dnough safe trails as it is for equine. We share our equine trails with humans on foot, and with strollers and dogs, and they should be able to share with us. We all pay taxes equally, and volunteer equally.

We pay taxes too. We have as much rights to ride our horses on the rail trail as anyone else.

It’s appalling that horses not to be allowed to travel on this trail. How about a lane for foot traffic, one for bikes and one for horses . That should take care of any user issues.
