Can't believe horses were ever excluded from the trail. Would people rather they rode on the roads? Excluding them doesn't make any sense at all.

People , horse back riders and cyclists can share the trail .. we have been doing this for years !

Exercise is great for mental and physical health but, something about horses transcends basic needs. These animals have the power to heal, which is why they are used increasingly in therapy for PTSD and for troubled teens. Well, horses deserve a safe place too. Where would you have them be ridden? On roads where most people don't see what is around them, where everyone is in a hurry. Why don't horse owners have the right to ride their horses on a safe and peaceful trail? This does not make any sense at all.

Horse riders are taxpayers too. I've never had a problem on far narrower trails than this.

I definitely believe horses should be allowed on Okanagan rail trail. I have to dodge dog crap everywhere I go, surely people can step around a pile of horse poo.
