To whom it may concern,

We, the undersigned students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), are writing to express our concern regarding the availability of funding and opportunities for internships for students, particularly those of different races and nationalities.

We believe that all CPUT students, regardless of their race, ethnicity, creed, or nationality, should be treated equally and have the same opportunities to succeed academically and professionally. It is essential that all students have access to the same resources, including funding and internship opportunities, to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to achieve their goals.

We strongly believe that this change in the policy will help to break the xenophobic and racial tendencies that seem to be present. This is the only way to move forward and promote a more accepting and non-discriminatory culture in the university and the country. As the future leaders of industry and of South Africa, we must break these cultural norms and build a truly equal society based on merit, not race.

We call upon the CPUT administration to take action to ensure that all students are provided with equal opportunities to succeed. We believe that promoting equality and diversity within the CPUT community is crucial to creating a positive learning environment and fostering a culture of inclusivity.

We, therefore, respectfully request that the CPUT administration take steps to address these concerns to whom may concern and provide equal access to funding and internship opportunities for all CPUT students, without giving preference only to South African citizens.

Sincerely,

Undersigned Students of Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)

I support this petition because I don't how the institution is talking about internationalization but in practice foreigners are marginalized through all means.
