Domestic services staff deserve much better than this. As a currently pregnant ELFT employee, I cannot imagine the choices that some workers are having to make during this pandemic.

appreciate commercial aspects of being a Foundation Trust but I support move for ELFT to be a nationwide leader in true inclusivity and equity starting with fair salaries for all, not just clinicians

ELFT is an enlightened employer and a learning organization. I fail to understand why they would not want to look after our cleaning staff who have been absolutely critical to to the success we have had with managing covid-19.

GS4 should be held accountable and at the very least, pay staff what they are owed. If there's a greater chance of fair treatment, fair pay and acceptable working conditions by bring cleaning in-house, why on earth would ELFT even consider out-sourcing to another company? I completely support the requests made in this petition.

I am Clinical Team Lead of E and B 2 team at Newham CAMHS and I wholeheartedly support better pay and conditions for our cleaners who deserve nothing but our utmost respect and appreciation

Definately need a change as Domestic Cleaners play a big part in ELFT and the standards have definately lowered since privatisation outsourced and why should Domestic staff not earn a London Living Wage, they are being exploited. G4S need looking into and address these shortfalls in pay and further more it be backdated. It would also benefit ELFT to plan for insourcing as cleaning has lowered to such a low standard it is certainly very noticeable on entering many of the hospitals since privatisation. I myself worked as a domestic many years ago and can see the deterioration in cleaning standards now even though I work in ELFT in a different position now and know how domestics are treated and exploited while G4S are forgetting that they are a required part of a team just the same as others and are at risk like all others.
