We envision a world where all students, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or zip code, develop the entrepreneurial skills and connections needed to achieve economic power and freedom. To achieve this vision BUILD.org, a national nonprofit organization, is leading the charge to ensure Entrepreneurship is taught to every student in every school in America. The Gen E Pledge is an opportunity for parents, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, cultural influencers, and young people who share this vision, to pledge their support.

Too many are being left behind in our winner-take-all economy, creating growing racial inequality, larger wealth gaps, and less opportunity for upward mobility. Meanwhile millions of students graduate from high school each year with a diploma from a 19th century education system, unequipped with the skills and mindset they need to succeed in a fast-changing 21st century workforce. Entrepreneurship Education Can Change This!

Join us in building Generation Entrepreneur aka “Gen E” - a diverse new generation of entrepreneurial leaders and changemakers.

1. We believe entrepreneurship education should be taught to every child in America so that they can become the CEOs of their own lives.

2. We believe schools in the U.S. must prepare students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Our nation needs a generation of innovators, not just consumers - students who can create, adapt, pivot, invent, and reinvent themselves throughout their lives.

3. We believe entrepreneurship education can help equip youth - particularly in under-resourced communities - with a powerful sense of ownership and 21st Century skills like critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving. These are skills needed to succeed in business, college, careers, and in life.
