Between the hours of 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Apex "Nighttime hours", trucks stage at the Apex Costco. During this time, engines and/or truck refrigeration units run, which creates a humming/ low end frequencies that can be heard dramatically inside of houses close by.

Sec. 14-33. - Other prohibited noises.
The following acts are specifically declared to be unreasonably loud, annoying, frightening, loud or disturbing noise, the emission of which shall be unlawful:
(16) The delivery or receipt of goods, merchandise, or materials from commercial or business establishments between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Vehicles intended for these delivery or receipt purposes shall not operate or park with engines in operation at these same locations during these same prohibited hours. This prohibition shall not apply to industrial facilities located in industrial zoning districts including LI (light industrial) and TF (tech/flex) as defined by the unified development ordinance.

Absolutely support this! I actually called the non emergency police number to investigate this mysterious noise once. It woke me up over my sound machines do couldn’t fall asleep. It sounded like a helicopter near by. Very disruptive.
Loud even across the lake in our house in Picardy Pointe. Noise pollution!

I've noticed this since moving to the Knolwood neighborhood. Glad there is something we can do about it.
I love Costco but they should operate within the parameters of the law.
This is a problem. I think this a great solution!
Same is happening with tractor trailers parked overnight in front of Apex High School construction site.

This area is busy with traffic noise already, we do not need additional, unnecessary noise.
