There is nothing wrong with low level music in the restaurants and beach clubs to liven the atmosphere. That being said, when the music is so loud that it can be heard for blocks, it is a major nuisance and serves to keep tourists and potential residents away.

I feel the noise violations are even upsetting the balance of nature. The birds are singing at strange times of the day.

Please enforce the sound ordinance and please be more selective on granting permits to exceed the noise level. The number of visitors who say that they will not be back to Playa due to the beach noise is increasing.

The music, if you want to call it that pretty much caused our move from the lovely beach of Playa into the jungles. We finally found some peace and quiet! TURN DOWN THE NOISE!

I live on 32 calle and Primero Avenido. Why is it that a bar can open in a RESIDENTIAL neighbor surrounded by Condos and Hotel and completely change the neighborhood with loud music played until late at night. Examples are Martina, Le Fe, Soul Beach. NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE NEXT TO A NIGHT CLUB. Keep night clubs out of the residential neighborhoods or lose tourism. It's easier to maintain tourism the try to revive it.

There has to be a stop to the continued disruption in our residential neighborhood. Because of BPM Martina's was allowed to ignore the sound ordinance. Now that BPM is gone we kindly ask to ban Martina's from playing music past 5:00 or ban it all together. Canibal at least respects the law other then special events 1x per month. Please we kindly ask to enforce to both clubs sound ordinance so we can live quietly in our homes. Thank you.

I totally support upholding or establishing new policies that will allow everyone to enjoy their visit to our wonderful city if Playa del Carmen. One of these policies would be to limit the noise levels during the day and the levels and cut off times during the night I have lived in PDC for almost 10 years and the invasive noise levels from music is the only aspect of my life that is not a pleasant one. Thank you. A.

The noise from the beach club is totally unacceptable and makes living for residents in the area unbearable.

We are here to enjoy Playa's beauty & tranquility, not to have BOOM, BOOM, BOOM blasted at us day & night!

We come here to paradise to seek tranquility, the sound of waves crashing, birds singing...not the thump, thump, thump of EDM.

Playa is such a lovely place to vacation but the volume of the noise over the years is making tourists and residents alike wondering whether they should vacation elsewhere!

The loud music is disturbing so many more than are enjoying it. Why do we have to put up with this.

We stay at The Elements for 3 months every winter. Now that the music has moved to this end of Playa in a residential area it is very disturbing. Please don't spoil the charm and beauty of Playa. Playing music until 5AM is not acceptable or fair!

Staying on 5th a block up from clubs and across the street from the Thompson. Music going until wee hours of the morning! Weekends are the worst.
