We the undersigned support locally generated clean energy for the Sonoita-Patagonia-Elgin area.

The 69kV line that SSVEC is proposing is much too large for our residential needs (At most we will need 9000 kv over the next 20 years), so we understand that it is possible that 60,000 kV of this line may be meant for a large mine being explored  by a company that is looking for approval near Patagonia. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS!

We demand that our government protect our communities, support our hard work towards energy independence, and  help us to break our dependence on Dirty coal!

We understand that our long term economic opportunity is with tourism, preserving our amazingly diverse environment and being the shining example of clean living with clean energy.

The growth in support has caught the attention of the local planning commission. I am currently preparing a formal brief to present at the next public hearing regarding the proposed transmission line capacity.

This is ridiculous. 9000 is plenty we dont need 60k extra for a mine that just wants to destroy the area.

Enough with the dirty coal. Sonoita is beautiful and we need to keep it that way for the tourists.

Keep our land beautiful. Nobody wants these massive lines ruining the view for some mining company.

Totally agree. Why should we get stuck with the bill for a mine we dont even want here?
