I believe this deserves to be petitioned. SafeLink is a U.S. Government supported program by TracFone Inc. for income eligible citizens. SafeLink provides free cell phones and 60 minutes every month which can be rolled over month-to-month for people who are eligible. To be eligible you must receive Public Housing Assistance, Food Stamps and/or Medicaid/Medicare. I am currently a single father raising a beautiful eight year old little girl. I do the right thing (even if it means struggling), by waking up and going to work everyday to support my daughter along with paying my share of State & Federal Taxes. I would like to thank KXMC as I will quote what they said, "Personally, I thought of a cell phone as an luxury and It’s certainly not something that should be part of a welfare package for “the poor.” I mean, what motivation do people who are poor have to make themselves better if they can go through life eating subsidized food, living in subsidized housing while talking on their subsidized cell phones? I currently work hard everyday of my life and live paycheck to paycheck just to get by while I support my daughter. I believe having a "LifeLine" as SafeLink calls it, is fine providing they only give them the option to call 911 with nothing more! Please help sign the petition and tell SafeLink this is WRONG!
