I have been waiting for approval to PURCHASE A FIREARM since 10/9/2019. And I still to this day have not been cleared! But 3 days later My WIFE APPLIED for approval. And got a reply within 24 hrs!!! Why is this? can you help me?

I do not own a gun but it doesn't stop me from knowing this wrong! Get the permits out in the 30 days the law alots each application. If you do not have the manpower hire help! THIS IS THE LAW AND YOU ARE IN CONTEMPT OF IT!

I applied 6/1/19 and have a Conf. # via the ISP websitie and copy of my status as pending via their site. No one will answer the phone. Called my Rep. Jeff Kiker and he said they were swamped. I asked him to check into it...perhaps hire more people if the job is too much for the ISP. My FOID card expires 8/1/19...it is a joke living in Illinois. What happens to the shooters in Chicago everytime if they get caught with no FOID card? Nothing, they let them go and beat the cops back on the street. I bet Mike Maddigan would not have this trouble getting his FOID card renewed.

This is crazy how long it takes to do a back found check. While they are setting in on one person why cant they go a head and start up another so they are not just waiting on one person at a time. I think the foid should be revoked and we should have the right to own a gun or ammo with out have to have a foid card. would be so much easier but we all know the state of IL just wants to make as much money off of the people as the can.

Renewed FOID at end of Oct. 2018 and still have not received card as of today 5-15-19. Called ISP ph.# cust service numerous time and each time get disconnected. I've been caring old card and a print out from ISP website of the approved renewal.

Renewed my foid card March 2, 2019 it is now May 2, 2019 and still no new Foid card issued. My Foid card is now Expired.

The website for renewal is set up for failure, doesn’t work and you cannot get through calling the phone number. Hands tied!!!!!!
