Salon Diversion is the un-ethical practice of mass-market retailers acquiring and re-distributing \"salon only professional products\" to the end consumer. While not illegal to purchase and re-sell these products, most mass-market chains obtain professional products through un-authorized distributors. Often, the products in these chains are old, counterfeited, or have been found to contain harmful amounts of bacteria. It is for this reason that we, the owners and professionals that represent the salon industry, respectfully ask Wegmans to stop its involvement and continued support of distributors and manufacturers who supply them with grey market salon merchandise. We, the petitioners, acknowledge Wegmans as an upstanding company who has been recognized in their industry as a
