Problem to emergency services and businesses alike. Slow traffic means more pollution for local people, surely the idea is to reduce pollution not increase it!

Traffic problems very severe on Holloway. Impossible to merge coming from Fairfax Road. The situation is causing a great deal of Stress and frustration!

The LTN's have made life much worse for residents, we are now locket in our areas, and forced on to now much busier main roads. This increases pollution and Journey times and slows down public transport. There was never a real traffic volume issue in Temple Cowley, the only issue was speeding. As I suggested before, we need large maintained effective speed bumps instead (much like Howard Street).

As sent to MP and transport secretary
Previously, getting to the Oxford Ring road from my house was very quick and easy. Now it takes a lot longer, and involves going through at least 2 more sets of traffic lights. It is also 0.7 miles further to the Ring road taking the shortest non-blocked off route to my house. I know this because I usually fill up my car at Sainsbury’s Heyford Hill, zero my tripmeter, and previously before these roadblocks it was 1.5 miles on the meter when I got back to my house. The shortest route is now 2.2 miles, and the other is 4 miles. This is stupid making us drive much further and take a lot longer over our journeys. This means a lot of extra time and mileage to get to work, get to the shops on the ringroad, go anywhere. At present as you know there is less traffic due to Covid restrictions, I dread to think what it will be like when traffic increases with the easing of lockdown restrictions and all traffic is forced onto a small number of routes. A few years ago there were road works on the ring road, and I had to get up and leave 15-20 minutes earlier to get to work for a few months. This was a nuisance, but I understood that it needed to be done. To have similar inconvenience because the council blocks off roads is not acceptable.
Prior to the Pandemic I shared lifts to work with someone who lived nearby and works in the same place. The route between where I live and the gentleman I share lifts with is blocked off. To share lifts to get to work again means a long loop, so I probably won't bother when we are back in our offices and all restrictions are lifted. This will mean I will do 3-4 thousand miles a year more, at a time when we are being asked to do less mileage where possible to reduce our impact on the environment.
A delivery driver who delivered something to my house said that his previous delivery was at the other end of the road, and he had to drive a long loop to get to my house. Yes traffic is blocked fro

I have complained on several ccassions to the council about the LTNs in my neighbourhood but have yet to hear. Wouldn’t traffic calming methods eg speed bumps be a better ‘solution’ to the apparent problem. I cycle but now end up on roads clogged and congested and the whole scheme is frustrating and disappointing. I am quite sure local counsellors do not live in these areas as am sure they would have been abolished by now! A waste of money and pointless scheme!

The traffic has significantly worsened following the introduction of the LTN scheme in Oxford. I feel that air quality and pollution has increased in all affected areas and beyond due to cars stuck in traffic.

If you want to address traffic in Oxford don't create MORE traffic! Use the resources to fund School Buses instead.

Get rid of LTNs and cpzs. Not solve traffic problems. Only way to relieve traffic to provide a decent, reliable and cheap public transport, including taxi service wherever public transport do not provide

This scheme is a terrible idea and complete waste of money.
I have to drive around Cowley and Littlemore everyday for work due to the amount of equipment I have to carry and the LTN's definitely have made an impact to the traffic on Cowley and also Iffley roads.
The queuing traffic on Cowley road was never that bad before even in pre- Covid times.
I've seen comments that say the traffic is flowing ok but I've got dash cam evidence that will show how it really is
The increased traffic on the main roads is all to do with the LTN'S and nothing to do with the roadworks as the council claim.
A lot of my customers are in the LTN's and it's so impractical trying to go from one to another when blocked by an LTN.
The council claim cleaner air for all but that's certainly not the case for people living on the Cowley road with huge queues of idling engines.
Apart from delays to the emergency services, I've been told it's also a nightmare for other council departments such bin collection.
A lot of the LTN roads also have no signage so there is still significant traffic driving up these roads to then turn around and come back again still adding to pollution in those areas.
I really hope they scrap this nonsense and get rid of the person who came up with the idea.
Do it now Oxford council whilst there's still time to save face rather than have to admit it was a bad idea later on

Delays in the Cowley area has everything to do with the LTN's not any silly road works going on now! This is ridiculous how bad it was and what chaos all those barriers made. What about climate with all those traffic from lights to lights? what about other residencial living on the main roads? why residents on main roads which been busy anyway have to stuck every day extra 40min? Are they included in residencial scheme?
Create safty cycle road, path walk barriers outside schools, proper speed bumps, or thing like on Lime Walk - Headington! This is the way to get rat runners away and slow down and give more safety for all of us!
